From Desk jockey to gym owner

I'm an electrical engineer (and now personal trainer) with big dreams of owning my own warehouse/athletic performance gym in Minneapolis, MN. I believe that anyone with any genetics can be transformed into an athlete. I love to make you laugh, but I hate hearing excuses. Work your ass off, get the results, have fun afterwards.

“I Lost 40lb. in 2 Months”

A lot of people aren’t going to read this today. Just so you have a frame of reference, it’s the day before Memorial Day and yesterday was the day I officially celebrated my certification. When I woke up this morning, needless to say, my brain was not fully functional. There were many many beers drank and way too much sun for this albino. Oh yeah, I was telling you about something. So, I woke up and had a random email from one of my supersweet readers. She just wanted to let me know that my nonsensical ramblings have helped her lose 40lb in 2 months!

I typed this up for Chris Smith over at Train Better Fitness who is also studying for his CSCS exam, but I thought I had better wait to post this until I knew for sure if I passed since I wrote this 4 days ago. But since I’m posting this, it should give you a little hint….

How to Sign-Up for Email Notifications

I’ve typed this many times, but I feel like it should be its own post so that I can just link to it any time I may need it again in the future (and right now). So, if you’re confused, or just don’t take the time to read the instructions carefully when you sign-up, here they are again. (Also, don’t tell me to sign-up for Aweber. I will when I can. You know who you are. :-p )

Dave’s Guide to Farmer’s Markets

I just got back from the Farmer’s Market and had so many random thoughts whilst I was there, I needed to hurry up and get back to my apt. so I could get them down before I forgot…..and the caffeine induced hilarity wears off.

Grip & Rip 2.1

Well, I have just received a very eloquently worded email from Adam Glass that Grip & Rip 2.1 could be going on sale as early as next week. I have a pretty good idea of what’s going to be included with the updates, but I’m going to wait for the official word. If I’m correct though, it will be very helpful for the goals most of you have.

What’s YOUR Genetic Muscular Potential?

Back before I was permanently banned from the Muscle and Brawn forums (no, I will not link it; cuz I was wrongfully banned), there was a thread about reaching your muscular genetic potential. Since I can’t get on the forums (obv), I searched the Googlez and found the actual article by Casey Butt (I know, right?). Assuming you’re drug-free and natural, you’ll be able to see how muscular you can get based on a few simple measurements.

Lots of Updates and a Wicked Sweet Free Offer

Website Updates

These have been few and far between since the Biofeedback DVD release party. I’ve got 3 or 4 posts that I REALLY want to write, but haven’t been able to bring myself to do it. There’s a multi-part series on running (which will feature a guest writer), a huge revamp to nutrition “theory”, and how I maintain a balanced lifestyle. There are 2 posts that I didn’t notify via email though. Be sure to go back and check them out. And there’s also this….
